Day of First Orange - Afternoon Ragas

Vincent Paul Carroll This synth is joyful. It reminds me of springtime, of things growing. The layering is extremely complex. You can listen to this album ten times and hear a different layer each time. There is a lot going on. At moments, it sounds chaotic and almost loses cohesion. But, again, this reminds me of springtime and the cornucopia of life growing up. It also radiates parental love. Favorite track: Sunshine Raga.

about

Debut release from new electroacoustic improvisational duo SPARKLING WATER (Mark McGuire and daughter Terra McGuire). Recorded spring 2015 in the Rain Cave, Day of First Orange - Afternoon Ragas consists of four pieces of soft, watery, colorful synthesizer & percussion splashing around the backyard in the bright sun. Regulates body temperature, mental age, and realigns colors for better visual acuity.
